i have 3 dahuas running, 2x Dahua IPC-HDW4431C-A and one 5231R-Z
Today i noticed one of the 4431 was missing inside my NVR.

I unplugged it, and tried it with a new ethernet cable. Still nothing
Strange thing is, i can still ping the device:
C:\Users\sande>ping 192.168.1.202
Pinging 192.168.1.202 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.1.202: bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.1.202: bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=64

whats going on here? And what can i do to bring it back alive?

It has been running for 1,5 years without problems

What is the make and model of the nvr ?
Is the camera plugged directly into the NVR or via a switch ?
Can you access the camera directly via a web browser (IE)
Have you tried a different port to connect the Ethernet cable?
Have you powered down everything, (+5 minutes) cameras and NVR and done a reboot?

You didn't recently upgrade the firmware on the NVR, did you? Andy was mentioning that some newer NVR firmwares will prevent the China-region cameras from connecting to them.

If not that, can you http://192.168.1.202 into the camera from a web browser and see a video stream, etc?

Cam is not accesible via http
I upgraded the nvr 6 months ago or so
Tried different ports on on the Powered hub

My nvr is 4104
Its down since 7 days

There might be a way to open the camera and hard reset it (either with a button, or by shorting out two pins). I’m not familiar with that model, so you’d have to do a Google search to see if that’s possible.

will it still ping when you unplug it completely and leave it unplugged?

if yes, you are pinging the wrong IP.

no, it stops after unplugging. I know what i am doing
ill try the reset option. It has 2 pins to reset

What could have caused this?
