The 2MP UltraStarlight will give better quality than 6MP Ultra Non-Starlight.. Same sensor size with less pixel density = better low light capabilities.

Thats the IMX178 in the 6MP, its rather good sensor.. probably one of the better UHD sensors, but more megapixels dont mean more detail and better quality.

Ultra UHD 6MP = 0.02Lux/F1.53(Color), 0Lux/F1.53(IR on)
Ultra Starlight 2MP = 0.002Lux/F1.53( Color), 0Lux/F1.53(IR on)

Thats an order of magnitude better low light capabilities.. but the UltraUHD is likely to be one of the better UHD performers if your really after megapixels for some reason.

I'm not really megapixel-man :)
I'm in to good quality. I saw that U highly recommend IPC-HDW5231R-Z fot the price. Is there any new camera as good or better from Dahua 2017 International Product Catalog or U still opt for "true low light destroyer" :)
how about new IPC-HDBW5231E-Z5 (STARVIS sensor)?
IPC-HDW5231R-Z VS IPC-HDBW5231R-Z? What is the difference? Just form factor?
I appreciate your every answer

I really like the Z5's, I have two of them on the way.. a 2MP Starlight Z5 and a 4MP Z5 I'm going to use for license plate reading.. both bullets.

The HDW and HDB for 5231R-Z and 5231R-Z5's are the same just dome or bullet.. different form factors and different optical packages but same underlying hardware and sensors.

U could run some test when U get them If u have free time. I would love to see samples or just know what U think of them :)

yeah of course I will
