Does anyone know if the Dahua IPC-HDW5241T-ZE is still available or if there is a superseded model for it?

I'll have to check with Andy. Seems some of the specs between the 2 are different

Nope the T22IR is the T2231 series.

You are looking for the 52IR series.

Hint - Amazon still shows the Dahua number in the URL.

Here is the thread with secret decoder LOL

Oh well close.

Yeah, with the 22 series saying it has human and vehicle detection, I am not sure what else would be the difference between that and the 52 series.

If I were going to go with the 5 series, I would go with the 5442 (54IR) over the 52 series if it is a fixed or ZE varifocal. Obviously the Z12E is only available in the 52 series.

I have several of the 22 series still in operation and doing a fine job, so if looking for the 2MP version, I would go with the 22IR.

Looks like the rated min illumnation is quite different

It sure looks that way. The 5241 has a much lower lux rating according to the specifications. Could be a typo too.

I'm looking for a turret camera that has similar specs to the B52 Z12. I know it will not have the 12X zoom, but I intent to use it as an LPR camera concealed in a pvc post at the end of the driveway to capture plates looking north. It will be about 5 or 6 feet from the road. Shouldn't need more than 4X zoom for that application, I would think.

With a special mount, a turret ball camera will slip right into a 4-inch square post

Smaller illumination number is better.

Same sensor, must be some other difference.

You will be shocked how much zoom you need - even putting it on a mailbox right at the street, you will use the full zoom of the camera and by the time you angle it, the ideal distance is in the 20ish foot range. Going back another 5-6 feet and that distance probably goes out to 30ish feet.

But the 22IR will work fine for LPR.
