Hello,
at first sorry about my english. i do my best.
i got the dahua IPC-HFW4431R-Z from aliexpress. I think with the chinese FW.
It works so far. I configured the ftp and the cam saves pictures an videos to the given path. but only when i am logged on the camera. In the alarm menue i set the checkboxes but there is no possibility to save the settings. So when i logged off the settings are lost. and so the cam makes no video.
What am i doing wrong. does anybody know this problem?

Not sure what you are trying to do but that cam has no alarm i/o, so forget about the alarm tab. If you're trying to record to ftp ( or anywhere for that matter ) you need to go into setup/storage and configure there.

I want to record video as soon as the camera detects movement.
I can access the camera and configure motion detection. I have also configured the FTP server in my router and specified the FTP in the camera. If I put the hooks in the alarm menu with "motion detection", that works. But only as long as I am logged into the web interface of the camera. As soon as I log out, the motion detection no longer works. But I want that to work directly. Is that even possible or am I doing something wrong?

You setup motion detection in Event/Video Detection, not the alarm menu.
