It may be harder to join that camera and this adapter than you'd like. The ethernet cable doesn't come out of the center of the camera, it's closer to the edge. See here: Front door ID camera IPC-HDBW4231F?

That'd be helpful. Are you painting your mounts? I need them white; need to see if any particular paint is required for these things and if I can touch up easily or paint the whole thing.
We are going to prewire during construction. Home will have brick siding and plan to end up with junction boxes with cover plates, see pic. I know where I want my cameras and they’ll be at 7’ above ground. Most will be turrets but I may have a few bullets in the mix. I’d want a metal plate for sure, will this style adapter work for what I’m looking to do? Cameras will be installed after we are in and I’ll do a test rig prior to installing junction boxes per pic. All suggestions welcomed. We break ground in a month.
I don't have any pics to share but can provide a few details after receiving my mount from @EMPIRETECANDY earlier this week.
@tangent is correct that the mount is not compatible with the IPC-HDBW4231FP-AS mini-wedge camera but I am sure can be made to work with some effort. They appear to be a great match with the turret cams and I would guess the bullet cams as well but I don't have one to mock up - Maybe @looney2ns has that combo to validate for you.
The main issues with using with the mini wedge are:
Mounting hole alignment as the mini wedge is a smaller diameter than the turret cams and no orientation of the wedge seems to work with the stock holes in the mounting plate.
Data cable does not align with the cut out in the mounting plate - nothing a little work with an end mill/Dremel can't resolve though.
The plate itself is about 1/2" larger in diameter than the turret cams so my plan to mount without the plastic cover would work and all mounting holes would be hidden behind the cam BUT I may still use the plastic cover as it adds a small bit of a finished look to the plate. Using the plastic cover is an aesthetics thing and my concern with using it outside is related to UV and how it will react to the sun over time. I figure that a coat of paint would eliminate any concerns about that though. I know that Rust-Oleum markets a paint specifically for plastic that I intend to use.

In more sheltered locations where you want something less bulky the PFA200G might work, but you do need to be careful how you go about that. The last thing you want is water, bees, or wasps getting into your wall.

Out of the box, this adapter plate is definitely not suitable for anywhere that needs to be water tight, unless it is used on a soffit.
It is definitely made for walls or ceilings indoors.
It only fits the domes I have available, it does not fit the bullets with 3 holes for mounting.
Nor does it fit the 5231 series of turrets.
That said, you could drill and tap other holes to make other cams fit.
I would think that either 203w wall bracket or the proper Dahua Junction box would be the best options....with proper caulking.

If you wish to mount the pfb203w to the brick in-bedded junction box, you will have to drill two holes in each bracket. They don't fit a junction box out of the box. Or use a stainless steel cover plate for the box, and mount the bracket for the wall mount to the cover plate.
