Is there a quick guide to decode Dahua part numbers? I'm looking for a camera that has very good low light and will be pointing this from driveway toward the street. I want to be able to see clearly up to 80ft away, on camera AI would be great. From the posts, I can't tell which models are new, old, have AI, etc.

Thanks!

This thread is used as the go to for the new person here outlining the commonly recommended cameras (along with Amazon links) based on distance to IDENTIFY that represent the overall best value/best bang for the buck in terms of price and performance day and night. It might be a 2MP camera in some instances.

The Importance of Focal Length over MP in camera selection

Most would say it would be the 52IR-Z12E (5241-Z12E) or possibly the 54IR-Z4E (5442-Z4E)

If you click on the Amazon links, the link itself has the Dahua number for many of them.

For example the 54IR is the 5442 series.

And then in this thread shows the changes:

This is probably partially obsolete by now but could still be of some help. The models #s don't help with the low light aspect. You need to look at the illumination specs and sensor specs for that.
