Dahua NVR and corridor mode

I have a problem regarding a dahua NVR 4208 operating cameras in corridor mode while viewing the NVR with IE11:
When I view the live feed from the corridor mode cam on the NVR, I can set the NVR to display the image vertically correct . But when I view NVR 24/7 HDD recordings of that camera stored on the NVR, the image gets horizontally expanded to fill the frame. How do I fix this?

You can try the original rate setting in Display. Most VMS's and NVR's will stretch the image to fill like you are describing.

on most hikvision nvr 4 devices you can even use custom layouts to have 180° stitched or horizontal/corridor cameras displayed correctly

Well, it is a rather inexpensive Dahua...

I only have the option to set original aspect ratio in the life view menu of the recorder. I can try to save it and hope it carries to playback too. (Edit: Live view layout can't be saved...)

There is no custom layout for playback. I can do 4 channels at a time at most.
