Dahua NVR- Can IVS be used normally with the option to smart search for people or vehicles?

I just ordered some new AI capable cameras after updating the firmware in my NVR to accommodate AI.

My question is, can IVS be used normally where anything can set off a trip line with the option to smart search for people or vehicles?
