Dahua NVR Capturing Hikvision Perimeter Protection

Hi,

I have a Dahua NVR with IVS (NVR4116HS-4KS2). I was wondering, if I have a 8MP Hikvsion CCTV with Perimeter Protection (e.g. Line crossing, intrusion), will my Dahua NVR be able to capture these events ?

I have tried a basic 2MP Hikvision CCTV (no perimeter protection) and it is able to connect to my Dahua NVR thru OnVif. I was also able to set 1-level basic motion detection event through the Dahua NVR settings page for this 2MP CCTV.

For best results, its best to have the same brand cams and nvr.

yes, i know it is best not to mix the brands because of its prop features.

My question remains. Who has experience are welcomed to share.
