Getting the hang of it
I am trying to optimize the encode setting on my NVR5208-8P-4KS2 with WD Purple 4TB drive (in the future I will add another 4TB drive). I presently have 3 IPC-HDW2231R-ZS cameras installed and will add 5 more in the near future. By optimize I mean picture quality with efficient hard disk space storage.
I have several questions concerning the encode web page settings (Attached is image shot of the current configuration).
1. Is there a preference between Constant (CBR)or Variable bit rate (VBR)?
2. Does Dahua "smart codec" work with H.265 or is that for H.264 compression?
3. What is the current standard for Sub Stream bitrate and type?
