I have a 16 channel Dahua NVR4216-16P-4KS2E. I want to simulate a cable cut and make sure that I'm notified if it were to occur.
I've been trying diligently to generate an IPC Offline Event or Alarm or a Video Loss Event or Alarm.
It should be as simple as going to Main Menu -> Camera -> Event -> Alarm -> IPC Offline and making sure that it is enabled for all of the cameras connected to the NVR. I checked the Log box and even checked the Buzzer box.
I also enabled Video Loss events for each camera and made sure that the Period Setting was for 24/7. Main Menu -> Camera -> Event -> Video Detect -> Video Loss
Unfortunately, when I disconnect any camera from the NVR it results in no event of any type. The only indication that the camera lost video is under the INFO -> LOG and it shows up as "Channel XX User logged out."
What am I doing wrong?
