Dahua NVR32CH-8XI Can't seem to get Push notifications sent to app

Been playing around with the NVR that came in today, trying to get push notifications working on the android app EasyViewer Pro, if anyone has got this working and could help it would be great.
 
Dahua stopped supporting old apps in P2P / cloud mode...


Only DMSS and SmartPSS Lite are supported..

ps. to have notifications worked, you must login to Dahua cloud, then delete and add one more time NVR to DMSS by serial number (P2P mode), then in NVR properties in DMSS subscribe to multichannel alarms..
 
I've never had a Dahua account but my Android DMSS (vers 1.99.100) push notifications have worked for the past 2 years on my NVR-4216.
BUT, a couple of days ago I stopped receiving alarm notifications on my 'phone. Nothing else had changed that I am aware of.
The settings on my NVR seem to be the same (mobile push notifications set ON for example) and nothing has changed on my phone. The DMSS version remains the same and I can, as usual, view live video feeds from my cameras on my phone. My wife's phone also stopped receiving the alarm notifications.
I conclude that something has changed at the NVR but I don't know what.
Any suggestions?
