Dahua NVR4208-4KS2 clock resets?

Anytime I reboot my NVR which is usually just once or twice a month, the clock (with the live timestamps in each corner of each camera) resets and I have to manually set it each time. I have the NTP checked and unchecked and it does not seem to help any. Also the time zone always defaults back to GMT+8:00. Must I be doing something wrong perhaps or overlooking some option?

Try replacing the coin cell battery inside the NVR. See if the NVR is set with valid gateway and DNS info if you want it to connect to an time server on the internet. You can also set up your own time server on your lan.

That might be a firmware bug, I have had a issue like that, not only time zone but certain cams would have to be reset for motion.
