This looks like an older version. I was looking for the latest 2017 version with hack fix in it

The current firmware is:
3.200.0001.26 - 2014-12-09

I tried this one from above:
DVR DVR5104H V3.200.0001.28.R.20170802

I also went onto the Dahua website and tried:
DH_DVR5x04_Eng_P_V3.200.0001.28.R.20170802
You guys can send email to me, i can send you the updated one for the hacked old models, easy. Right now dahua posted on all firmware on their website, maybe not the newest one, but maybe the stable one, as i know for the PTZ, they make some limitation on the firmware, that is when you updated to newest one, can't be updated back. So be very careful for the updatings.

I've sent you an email regarding an issue that has cropped up with the backdoor existing on dahua dvr firmware. Do you know which firmware I need to apply to a nonbranded dahua HCVR5104H-V2 to patch the vulnerability?

The V2 and S2 are using the same PCB and chipset. Here I was searching specifically for HCVR5104H-V2 for a week now. .-. I'll be sure to mention this firmware list on my website.

I have a HCVR5104H with this software 3.200.0001.26 - 2014-12-09

Which update I have to download to fix hacked problem?

If it's model is HCVR5104H and not followed by any revision or additional iteration indicator, you will want to download his supplied General_HCVR5104H_Eng_N_V3.200.0001.30.R.20170807.bin

I’m sorry but I’m from Italy and I don’t understand what do you mean with this. Can you explain me please?

The DVR you have has a white label(most likely) with the model number printed under a barcode. If the printed model number reads exactly as "HCVR5104H" then you download the General_HCVR5104H_Eng_N_V3.200.0001.30.R.20170807.bin.

If the label's printed model has a revision number, like "HCVR5104H-V2", or another iteration designation like "HCVR5104HG", then you will need a different binary file than the one I mentioned.

So if the label reads "HCVR5104H" you would download the General_HCVR5104H_Eng_N_V3.200.0001.30.R.20170807.bin the Original Poster provided here --> Dropbox - firmware

Hi. I don't see my model listed on the dropbox, on the back label it says DVR7816s-U, on System Info it says Hardware Version V3.0, current firmware is 3.200.002.2

Would you happen to have the firmware update for this model?

The entire model listed on the barcode label on the bottom reads "DVR7816s-U"? If so it's coming up as obscure non-branded, which means you need to contact whatever entity you bought it from, as "oem" entities like to make up their own stupid model numbers while using original firmware that doesn't match their model number.

For instance, an unbranded oem dvr with the barcode label reading "DVR-CVI4120ME-DH-V2" sold by security camera king, uses firmware labeled for the HCVR5104 variants.

._. I find it annoying.

Do you remember who you bought the DVR from? A google search is popping half a dozen different sellers for similar models.

I bought it through Amazon 2 years ago, it supposedly came from www.hdsecuritystore.com . I've contacted them by e-mail but they haven't responded yet.

Looking a bit further it seems this model is sold in Asian regions with Dahua's brand actually on it. Same model number and everything. I've also found the same device(same appearance and specs) listed as HCVR7816S, which does appear on the list... What's the worst thing that could happen if I try installing that firmware and it's not compatible? :p

If it's not compatible, it should reject the firmware upload attempt.

I see it's listed in hdsecuritystore.com as a DH-DVR7816S-U. Did you try calling them as well?

Let us know if it accepts the HCVR7816S firmware, if it does the OP could add it to the support text. :3

anyone have problem downloading easy4ip ?

You are getting the error because the camera is rejecting incompatible firmware.

Finding compatible firmware will be thing to focus on, I'd send an email to yx@yxelectronic.com while referencing 200万30倍 ICR日夜型高清一体化机芯 DH-CA-HZ2030_一体化摄像机/机芯_摄像机系列_大华__产品中心_裕兴电子_www.yxelectronic.com and ask for the latest firmware they have for the unit.

Sometimes PTZ functions can be lost in firmware upgrades, so don't be surprised if it continues to be an issue, but also do the firmware upgrade anyway, as it may resolve the loss of control.

What current firmware and what firmware you try?

General_HCVR5x04-V2_Eng_P_V3.200.0001.4.R.20140607.bin
for
HCVR5104C-V2
HCVR5104HC-V2
HCVR5104H-V2
HCVR5104HE-V2

Hello, I'm looking for the firmware for the specific Model HCVR5104H-V2, the share-drive you posted is no longer valid, do you have the firmware with the fix for Hacked issues for HCVR5104H-V2?

Thx so much.

Hello! on Nov 20, 2017 you posted "If the label's printed model has a revision number, like "HCVR5104H-V2", then you will need a different binary file than the one I mentioned".... I have precisely HCVR5104H-V2.... you mentioned "then you need a different one".... but you didn't mentioned which one.... I precisely have HCVR5104H-V2 (The one you mentioned as an example.....)..... do you have this patch firmware with the hacked issue solved?

Thx so much.

Your HCVR5104h-V2 uses the same PCB as the S2 series, so you would use the firmware for HCVR5x04h-S2. I had to patch 4 V2's some months ago using the S2 patched firmware, and was the reason I even came to ipcamtalk. Secplus is a godsend for making the issue and resolution so understandable and available in his listing style. I'm pretty sure I downloaded them all and saved his list because it's pretty much the only viable guide to patching these systems.
