I searched for a thread but didn't find one. Is anyone using this particular camera? This might be what I'm looking for.

If anyone has this installed can you take a picture of the camera install location. I'd like to see how you have it installed.

Also curious what this cost. Might need to send @EMPIRETECANDY a message.

this one no nightvision, and a popular model years ago, now not very fast selling. Price around 300usd, i have to check. You can contact me via PM.

I am receiving this one in the next days. It´s gonna replacing my weather cam. Be sure to order -S2, this is a starlight, without its an old sensor without h265(+) and much less night view capabilities. I hope the S2 Version has no fan inside. I don´t thrust it for a long lasting live.
In my case I mount it overhead. It would look a bit funny :-)

Would love to hear your thoughts after you get it, @TVT73!

I should have one on Thursday as well. I plan to mount it under the eaves of my garage.

I am testing now. But I am not sure If I will use it for my purpose. I am very afraid of the reliability, because this one has also an integrated fan. And the housing temperature outside is near 37-39 degree. What will happens in bright sun outside with the black parts upside? I assume the temperature will raise to a very much higher level, maybe too high so the cam will die early.
And I notice on very less light white dots all over the picture. It looks not really good as a hdw5231, where I never noticed this. Maybe it´s coming from an iris up to 100 and normaly.

And I noticed some times, that the motor is rubbering (sounds like tack, tack, tack) and after this the programmed pattern is wrong...
All together its not really perfect.

I would open it up, and make certain that there is nothing interfering with the movement of the cam, such as wires or the descendant packs.
White dots, do you have the video noise reduction turned on?

Is there a newer model to this?
It is a full PTZ camera right guys but with no IR?

I would love to see it installed if someone wouldn't mind posting a pic.

this model has a S2 version and support starlight, you can refer to the SD52C225U-HNI pic quality i think they are the same. Just the optical zoom is 12X. This one can install on the ceiling directly.

The white dots and the rubbing noise maybe due to the way you mounted - overhead?
Have you tried mounting the correct way?
