I was referring to the camera lens itself(ball).

No, I have not taken apart the black ball, the actual camera enclosure. 4 screws, looks easy enough, but I'm not sure what is inside that camera assembly.
I have taken the encasing apart, where I found the 3 LED's and taped them up.

At this point you either run it in color or pop it open. It has to be something inside at this point - smear on internal lens or some led in the ball

I didn't say to take the ball apart, just look at the tiny camera's lens surface, and try cleaning it. Or at least, if you see something on it.

I've done that. Looked at the surface of the lens, cleaned it off, etc..middle part is the flare then haze over the right side still present after.
