Did you draw the line and finished with a right click? Always close the line or area with right mouse click.

You need to reset the function, delete the rule, turn off IVS as selected. Restart the camera switch on IVS as function again and try to redraw the line.
That has happened many times for me when i have my training courses and switched alot between different analytic modes. Worth trying

And using Explorer and not edge or edge with IE tab. Needs to be Explorer

Did you tried another browser? I know at least firefox browser have this issue with Dahua cameras?
What camera model is it?

I do all programming in chrome on newer cameras and explorer on the older ones

i managed to draw line but what if i want the whole area

and what do i need to do in my nvr that it records all the movement

one strange thing sometimes it follows people and it tries to zoom in but then peoples getting out of sight
