Hello everyone, I'm glad to be part of this community.

This is my first thread, and I would really appreciate your help because I’m stuck. I have a Dahua 2-wire video intercom system with two entrances and four apartments. At the entrances, there are two door stations: one is the VTO4202FB-S2, and the other is the VTO4202FB-S3. There is also a VTN controller that powers the monitors and both VTO units.

The system has been programmed and works as expected; however, the S3 door station frequently reboots without any apparent reason.

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
• Replaced the power supply
• Swapped the positions of the door stations to check for wiring issues
• Replaced the controller
Despite these efforts, the issue persists.

I suspect that this is a power-related issue. I have encountered a similar problem with the same VTO models in an IP-based system, where increasing the power supply to the S3 unit resolved the issue. Unfortunately, in the 2-wire system, there seems to be no way to power the S3 separately from the VTN controller.
Has anyone else faced a similar issue or found a workaround? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, did you manage to solve this issue? I have S3 VTO and its still rebooting. I have replaced cables and S3 unit as well but no avail.

Yes, I solved it. Apparently Dahua delivers S3 with an outdated firmware, which causes various issues. In their official websites you can download and install a new firmware which solves most of the problems.
