I swore these didn't use to fit over pre-made Ethernet cables?!?

Happy to see the ones that came with two recent cameras do, although you may have to rotate the barrel.

I bet I have remade a few ends in my day forgetting to put that on before I crimped.
Same here... I used to get so pissed at myself when I'd forget to slide those things on first!

The new cameras (1831E) can fit pre-made. The old ones (SD-49225T-HN) still use the old tiny ones that don't fit. But why does it matter. You should be crimping your own connectors by now :)

Please tell me that no one is pulling in stranded-conductor patch cables up into walls, attic, between floors, etc. with outer jackets that are not rated at least CMR?

Anyone know where to get the newer RJ-45 pass thru connectors? A bit peeved at Dahua, just got a new 225 25X PTZ and they tell me now that since its a "3rd party supplier" via Amazon they can't directly support, etc, etc. A plastic bag for now keeps the rain off, but a bit garish looking...:-)

Go here.

I may be reading this wrong but it looks like the link above won’t fit terminated Ethernet through but the seller mentions another listing for ones that do.

With respect to the waterproof cover, I recently tried this on a Reolink camera/NVR kit - the waterproof cover also fit over the pre-made rj-45 connector on the cables supplied in the kit. The cable ends look very similar to the yellow cable end you have in your pictures. However, when you plugged the rj-45 connector into the camera end and tried to screw the waterproof cover onto the camera end, the cylindrical gasket wouldn't seat inside the waterproof cover because it hit the strain relief end of the rj-45 connector and would stick out too far to screw the end piece in place. It would fit fine if you make your own cables without strain relief covers.

I've since returned the Reolink kit - not because of this, but because of poor search and playback functionality of the NVR software...

Does the Dahua waterproof cover fit properly on that yellow cable when fully connected?

Pass-through connectors are fantastic. I ran ~30 drops in a new house we built and they made putting the ends on MUCH easier. Best part is, once the pairs have been passed through you can pull them so the jacket gets nice and tight up into the connector.
