Can I use a POE injector to just power the camera from outlet without data source?
If not what do I need?

You’ll have to connect to it initially to initialize it and set it up how you want it somehow. It would default to auto everything which may not be a good image depending on location.

I suppose you could. But this isn’t a ring camera.

the video will be in Dahua’s .dav format
