Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

@duplo did you received from Andy (to EU?) new WizColor 5459-PRO (released a few days ago, so pre production sample) or simply you show us FullColor 5449-ZE, which was available in Europe in last 2 years?

Image from camera You named 59ZE looks for me like Full Color 5449-ZE. This model have big problems with sharpness / image dulness.

Yes its a sample, i just want to add some comparison videos here in different light conditions (smaller area, trees, etc). Results may differ from jmcu, because he has a lot bigger and free area.

The cams are mounted at 2m height, which also might differ from jmcu.

Please do night recordings / comparisons with some external street / garden light (no white lights on cameras)...

with settings in FULL MANUAL mode like on 2 pictures below (1/100s - up to 10ms and 1/50s - up to 20ms)...

plus you can do more passes with 2D/3D noise tested at different levels (20/30/40/50)...

PS. Ask Andy for latest firmware, here can be big differences

Based on @steve1225's (always) informative followup, it sounds like that same parameters (1/120 Shutter, 50 Gain, and 100 Iris with 30 2D/3D NR) were used on all camera in the first 20 seconds of this video

As I said, "HOLY CRAP, the 54PRO-AS just CRUSHES the beloved T54IR-Z3-S3"

So that's why @jmcu I was wondering if a possible boo-boo on that particular test (even though you are obviously very meticulous) because I was very surprised by the HUGE difference - note that the 54PRO-AS also CRUSHED the COLOR 4M-T.

Looking forward to seeing your results @duplo ... and ditto what @steve1225 has been suggesting to use parameters to "push" the camera/lens to highlight differences.

I would suggest that for low-light testing, this forum would benefit if people used those SAME standard parameters across cameras to allow easy comparison - the "Steve1225 low-light test!"

I'm about to go away for a couple of weeks, but assuming future results are similar, when I return, I'll be asking @EMPIRETECANDY how I order one! ;-)

In case you missed my edit update @steve1225:

Which sounds like full manual, 1/120s Shutter (1/100s Shutter for 50Hz power?), 50 Gain, and 100 Iris with 30 2D/3D NR, no on-camera illumination capturing a "normal" night scene with the "typical" street/garden lighting. And someone walking around at near/far distances ... in Yellow Crocs! ;-)

The 54PRO Price will be higher, the IPC-T54IR-ZE s3 still be very nice. Not end of life. ;)

Yes, the S3 is very nice (especially at the price point) and I did not mean to imply otherwise ... plus low-light testing is only one aspect.

for now we don't have any AI tests...
based on marketing materials 54PRO have progressed here (better detection in difficulty conditions, less false positives, better animal support with animal type detection)...

also 54PRO have better extra HW (speaker, dual mic, hybrid dual IR/white lights)...

And in the next 1-2 years we should have 1-2 bigger firmware updates with EXTRA FEATURES for 54PRO.
Like we had in last 2 and half years for 54IR - AcuPick 1.0, AcuPick 2.0, animal support, large distance/large AI mode, IVS learning database...

For now 54IR will not receive any more features. Only some bug fixes.
And somewhere in next year will be probably EOL..
