@copex didn’t know about that, might switch over.

To the OP I use dynu.net to do this. They provide a free account. I also have a cron job set on my router to perform periodic updates.

I've used dyndns.org (now hosted through Managed DNS DDNS DynDNS Services | Dyn) for at least 15 years, long before Oracle bought them. For more than a few hosts it's a paid service, but even then it's relatively inexpensive, always worked for me, and supported broadly by the market as a whole since they have been around for so long.

This is a pretty popular one these days: Duck DNS

Some programs like Home Assistant have plugins for it which even go as far as to automatically get an SSL certificate for your domain name with very little setup required.
