Naples Fl
checked connections, reset clock and rebooted camera and it will lose time in it.

checked firmware it's a new version than what is listed on Hivision USA website I have version V5.5.2 build 171201

does it have a keep alive battery that needs replacement?

thanks coldair

does it have a keep alive battery that needs replacement?
That would be just for when it's powered off.

What are the configuration settings for time / NTP in the camera web GUI?
Is the camera connected to a LAN with access to a time server locally or on the internet?
Is the camera managed by an NVR which itself has access to a time server?

the camera is on my lan and all cameras have no access to the wan they are blocked at the router. the cameras are managed by BI on a dedicated PC and it has been operating since 03/10/2018 and this just started happening on 6/14/2020.
thanks for the helptime.PNG

where is that battery located? do I need to remove the camera and it's top dome to access it? power goes off in Florida all the time in rainy season/

thanks for the help

I think if it's an issue the simple solution is to run an NTP server locally for your camera(s) to sync to.

There's lots of free ones for Windows, linux etc.

(Note the NTP server will need access to the Internet though the cameras won't).

Some routers themselves provide NTP.

If you don't have anything on the LAN that is suitable to provide time, then you could allow the cameras Internet access to an Internet time server (usually port 123) only and blocking everything else (assuming your router/firewall can be configured as such).

thanks I will give that a try
