Day & Night Profiles for 5231R for LPR

Hi Guys

I have no issues getting LP's in the day time with this camera, but at night, difficult.

Would you recommend I set up schedule on all my cameras for night/day and in the night set my Exposures to manual? Night moving images of cars are blurry as youd expect. Not expect miracles but my lane isnt totally dark so I think i might be able t get something usable.

Is that how best I should work with night scenes??
