I recently installed a DB6I using my existing mechanical/wired bell. The loudness of the bell is sometimes loud, other times soft. Has anyone had a similar experience? Is it caused by the Chime Box ? Not sure the box does but I suspect that the db6i sends a DC signal back over the AC line which the chime box uses to activate the bell. Any thoughts?

I replaced the xfr today (a royal PITA) and discovered something that I do not like about the DB6I Necessarily I had to cut power to the camera to do the replacement. When I turned everything back on the DB6I had grabbed another IP address. The doorbell is louder now although there is a delay of several seconds between the time the button is pressed and the mechanical bell goes off.
