My Dahua DB6i picture deteriorates over time - doing a camera restart fixes it for awhile but then it starts again. Seems to happen more on sunny days for some reason. Any ideas what is going on?

Not a good sign, usually corruption like that would be cleaned up at each new keyframe which happens every 1-4 seconds usually. Does it have a "Smart Codec" function like Dahua's normal IP cams? That could prevent normal keyframes from being used which could prolong the corruption in theory.

No smart codec that I'm aware of. The camera is mostly setup with DMSS app which has limited settings. There is no web interface. The camera was purchased at the end of june of last year. I might need to replace it. It was a pain to setup because it kept grabbing a neighbor's wifi
