Hi everyone,
I am new to the topic of IP cams and hope that anyone can help me. My problem is similar to the one described in following treat:
https://www.ipcamtalk.com/archive/index.php/t-2385.html

I have several Cams of this model and nonwhere the mail sending after motion is working. So finally I found above treat and I did recommended steps from Snake Doctor:

I had the same problem with a DBPower VA039K, everything was working except the email test and alarm notifications.
Fortunately Telnet is running on this model, after much hacking around I managed to determine the problem was with the mailx binary embedded in the firmware. To check:
Telnet to camera IP
login root , password 123456
run # /system/system/bin/mailx
if you get the message segmentation fault - the binary is corrupt.
Found a 'similar' firmware T-sys-48.2.0.143.bin on http://www.atz-tech.com/, managed to extract mailx from the bin file & replace the one in the camera.
run # /system/system/bin/mailx - now gives the message no mail for root
Mail test and alerts now working fine.
Cheers

Finally the motion detection is working and a picture is sent.
My problem now is that I get no picture in the IE or Firefox - only black.

So I am not sure I have to do something else to make it work?
Maybe upgrade the WebUI?

:redface-new:But before doing I wanted to ask an expert.:redface-new:

If an Upgrade is recommended, how to figure out wich kind of Firmware to use (WebUI and Cam Firmware).

Any help welcome
Thx
Rob

I did not find a working firmeware too.
VLC I did not try yet.

(I am afraid the link you added is a internal one?).

Thx

Apologies for not being more clear:

http://ip address of your camera:port/snapshot.cgi?user=youruserid&pwd=yourpassword
http://ip address of your camera:port/videostream.cgi?user=youruserid&pwd=yourpassword

The firefox addon ipcam ptz also seems to work better for me than the Webui.

Cheers
