Would this be decent for running BI? I know folks recommend against buying new, but the setup seems to meet requirements and isn't too expensive;

Sounds like it has four bays for adding hard drives in addition to the SSD...

I should add this will be for approx. 12 2MP cameras collecting at 15fps...

That will work just fine with LOTS of headroom. Note there is only room for a single 3.5 drive in a addition to a 2.5 drive. If you want to install 2x3.5 look at the tower. Its not that big.
Also note the processor is 2 generations old and those pc's are going for 400 or so slightly used.

I suppose the SSD could be in an M.2 slot which would free up a 2.5 inch bay, but you can't get really high capacity 2.5 inch drives anyway.

My dad bought a pallet of old refurbished HP Z210 SFF workstations a year or two back with Xeon E3-1225 CPUs, roughly equivalent to 2nd-gen i5. They have 2x 3.5 bays. No 2.5 bays as I guess SSDs hadn't really caught on by the time those were new. But they also have a 5.25 optical drive bay. So, plenty of room. I wonder why some of the newer ones don't have as many bays. Maybe they have a smaller chassis?

Thanks so much for the replies! As long as there is one 3.5 bay that I can put a WD Purple in, I should be good...
