Decoding capability

Good afternoon, I'm from Brazil

I am interested in using Hikvision equipment in my house and I am looking to buy the DS-7108NI-Q1-M NVR and use the DS-2CD1043G0-I 4mp cameras.

It turns out that I have doubts that not even the regional support can solve me.

In the NVR technical sheet it mentions
Incoming Bandwidth60 Mbps
Outgoing Bandwidth 60 Mbps
Recording Resolution 4 MP/3 MP/1080p/UXGA /720p/VGA/4CIF/DCIF/2CIF/CIF/QCIF

Decoding Capability
4-ch@1080p (25 fps), 2-ch@4 MP (25 fps)

Here's my question, this NVR can record 5 cameras at 4mp 30fps? I believe that in H264 each camera uses 7mbps.

Regional support says the NVR is only capable of recording this way 4-ch@1080p (25 fps), 2-ch@4 MP (25 fps). But I think this information is wrong, because from what I understand Decoding Capability is the live view capability, right?

You are correct.
Decoding is done when the recorded stream is viewed.

It is quite a low-end NVR though, it can only handle 4MP cameras.
Give some thought to how you might want to improve your system going forward - this NVR might be an obstacle.

I really thought what support told me was really weird.

I also thought about the ds-7608ni-q2 model. It already supports 4k and can help me with a future upgrade.

A used PC with BlueIris would be cheaper and have way more features than a hikvision nvr.
