Defusing IRs. Anyone played with this?

I have several IRs around the house. All of them have hot spots. Anyone played around with defusing your IRs?

If you have, did it work and what materials did you use?

I'm surprised we don't have a IR sub-forum.

What brand of cameras? Some have a BLC setting you can play around with. Or are you talking about external IR?

Good IR emitters either have control systems that regulate brightness so they don't cause hot spots that are too hot, or have diffusers built-in or user-replaceable.
