Hi friends.
I have a Dahua camera dh-ipc-ebw81230p that I forgot the password to have any clue how to reset this to admin -admin again.

Do you think there is one on this IPC?
It does not matter! ;)
Remote reset normally not.
You did not disclose the details of the situation.
Perhaps passwords are present in the software or recorder.
It is possible to get the dump from the camera and brute the hash, assuming that the passwords are the same.
A little more details on the topic;)

Okay, here are a little more details:

Many months ago, I chose a password that I no longer remember for the IP camera IPCEBW81230P (Dahua Fisheye 12mp). I wanted to know if there are any ways to reset this IPC to factory settings (username: admin, password: admin), because at present I cannot access the camera as I only get an "invalid username/password" message on my NVR when I try to add it. I have opened the camera and pressed a little button beside the RS232-port for 5, 10 and 60 seconds, but this doesn't seem to have the desired effect of resetting the password on the camera.

Do you know which component to get the dump from, if possible? I can't see it straight away, at least. It should be an EEPROM, right? I have purchased a Bus Pirate to try to read the dump, but would be helpful to know where the dump is located in the camera. :)

Thanks in advance!

It's dahua ipc & if you connect to ttl you can using public instruction reset config.
stop bootlodinf with * and put some command
printenv
help
possible exist command eracfg or similar
...

or mean setup some var if it old ipc withoud dsh
setend dh_keyboard 0
sertev appauto 0
saveenv
reboot

...
after statl it must stop and then
rm /mnt/mtd/* -rf

and set back var to 1

If you so shy, so ask direct help with Teamviewer or other remote prorgam.
By the way, make button photo & share it here!

Open the camera and find the reset button , hold it for 5-7 seconds and then camera can be defaulted. Make sure camera is powered on. The camera firmware you are using is too old. New one can use register email address to find the password back

Reset button is on the base
