DH-NVR5208-8P-4K looses most settings after reboot or spontaneously

Hi,

I have a DH-NVR5208-8P-4K from 2016

Web:3.2.3.63032
System Version:3.210.0002.0, Build Date: 2016-02-01

that looses most settings after reboot, poweroff or sometimes spontaneously. The weird thing is that sometimes it is just the network settings that seem to be forgotten out of the blue, other times, for example after reboot, settings like layout, motion detection etc settings are lost. Everytime I restore the config from a backup config and it just works as before.

Could this be due to the battery that needs to be replaced?
However it seems like soldered on and not replaceable?

I’ve Not had one do that….. is it connected to the Interwebs? Maybe try disconnecting it, reboot and see if it still does it?

Battery is as good a guess as I’ve got otherwise

Good suggestion, but it is not connected to the internet.

Are you making the setting changes in the actual camera GUI and not the NVR? If they are being set in the NVR they could revert back to whatever the camera has after a reboot.

Except you wouldnt think that would affect the NVR networking settings....

Try to make firmware update, and also can check the log of the NVR, normally will shows the error booting. Looks like NVR's system carahsed.
