There are lots of models on alixpress for huisun models. I would like to just Remotely watch my field with one of those ptz 720p or 1080p ip cameras.i can connect a direct cable from router to this ip camera but i do not have a nvr device. Is it a must to have nvr device if i don't want to record anything?

That's interesting, i thought so. But when i asked about it to "famous" monica, she said that i need a nvr for this camera and also i can not watch it Remotely from my cell phone! It doesn't make sense. This is one of models i asked about.

I thought so. I just cant decide between 720p 4x version and 1080p 10x version. I would use it on a large agriculture field, so maybe 10x would be more beneficial.
I have 3x 1080p and 10x 1080p. 3x gives wider view (equivalent to 2.8mm Hik), but IR provides less coverage and obviously limited zoom range. For your purposes I think you better of with 10x.

What's the job in the field? I can't imagine too many jobs where the 5.1-51mm lens of the 10x wouldn't be the best choice of the 2, but you might be even better off with the 20x or 30x. 10x seems like a lot but if you're trying to check on the help on the far side of a quarter then you'll appreciate the 30x. Counting horses on 10 acres and 10x should be fine.

Sod field, mostly cutting grass, stacking pallets, loading trucks. I sometimes need to check if truck is there, how much of an order has been cut until now and so on. 30x would be nice of course but it is way too expensive for me.

Gotcha. Best bang for the buck. Consider mounting it as high as possible to help with horizontal depth perception. Seeing what's piled on the truck might be the best method by camera for judging work done unless you cut sod in fixed width lanes with distance markers that'd be easily visible?
