Do you think this mini cam will be any good to use behind a door spy hole viewer to see who is at the door?

It is quite expensive, so wondering if anyone has used one or has any knowledge of it.

Hard to tell magga. The listing is very low on specs and any real info. You may find yourself locked into their software/apps, there's not even any mention of ONVIF compatibility. Whether that matters or not I suppose depends on how you want to use it.

And yes, for what it is, it's damn expensive. You may want to have a look at something like this instead. I have one and it works well. You may be able to splice in some extra length to the power cable for your application too.

It claims to be ONVIF compatible, and also has POE.

There is also this one, which I could actually remove the peephole viewer in the door, make the hole a little bigger and fit it inside the door:

look at the hikvision pinhole camera that is similar in design.

Here you go, £21.50, free delivery, and it's ONVIF compatible so hopefully works with your NVR (I don't have a Hik NVR so not sure if it's that simple; anyone?).

Hopefully someone else will have more experience with these sorts of cams, and you NVR, and come up with some more definitive suggestions.

Agreed. You could probably do a bit of DIY cable extension to improve it for your app.
