Does anybody use LANScanner or something similar?
I need a software which can generate report with basic information of cameras (vendor, firmware, MAC, IP address, image).
LANScanner's site seems to be dead.

Nmap will get you MAC, IP, and possibly vendor. Nothing will get you firmware unless its manufacturer specific (e.g. Dahua software scanning for Dahua cameras).

That's not true. Have you heard of ONVIF?

Just quoting from Google Cache of www.mylussystems.com

LANScanner is a fast, accurate network scanning tool designed for the security industry.
  • Scan for details & images using protocols ONVIF, SNMP, WMI and HTTP
  • Perform MAC Address Vendor lookup via the Mylus cloud service.
  • Extract security camera images using HTTP or ONVIF.
  • Get physical switch port connection using SNMP.
  • Configure multiple logins for device authentication.
  • Export results to PDF or Excel.

I've seen report from LANScanner and it contained firmware version and also commercial name (e.g. AXIS M3037-PVE).

ONVIF Device Manger can connect via ONVIF and expose most of that info, but I haven't seen where it can easily export the data into a report.

Ah yeah I didn't even think about ONVIF capability.
