Whether it is allowed or whether you are technically able to do it are two separate questions - both of which are are starting to get
conflated in the thread. If the
Blue Iris instance is running on your home computer, for example, then to view UI3 from
an external computer such as your government computer you would need a VPN/private network client of some kind installed
on your Blue Iris machine or firewall appliance like ZeroTier or TailScale. But, based on my experience in the Fed Govt,
you are going to have a tough time getting either of those client apps installed on a general purpose office computer or laptop,
never mind a special purpose workstation for image processing or GIS.
Again, I don't know about about a DOD facility, but if allowed, just bring a personal laptop and use your cellphone as a WiFi hotspot.
