Any federal employees viewed BI UI3 from a workplace computer? I don’t see a problem with it. I haven’t tried it but I know everything I look at is monitored. Obviously I have nothing I’m concerned with anyone seeing on my cameras, I wasn’t sure if it was frowned upon?

Most here, regardless of who they work for (unless themselves lol) probably do not give there employer the opportunity to get those credentials.
I don’t think any of them would use or attempt to use it. My cell service is horrible there. Allowing them (the man lol) access was as much a concern as the possibility of a prohibited practice. I use Verizon, maybe another carrier has a better reception there.
I assume you are asking about viewing the UI3 interface at work on a Government computer?
In general, Federal Employees are allowed to use the Government's computers for limited personal use. And I would
consider viewing the UI3 interface limited personal use as long as you were not continuously viewing it - something
along the lines of having a peek based on a Blue Iris alert - I think that would be allowed. Having said that, you
appear to be a Department of Defense employee, while I was only a scientist/manager for a non-regulatory agency.
I can't imagine your agency does not have a written "use of government property" on their ethics website.

Employees may use Government computers and the internet for personal use on their personal time (before and after work; during lunch and other breaks) provided there is no additional cost to the Government. You should be using VPN. In that case your traffic would be encrypted. They would see the connection to whatever IP.
100% we’re authorized “limited personal use” of equipment. This should fall into that category. Again, not continuously viewing it. Some things are blocked some aren’t and just because it’s not blocked doesn’t mean we should be there. I haven’t tried it and am not sure it will even allow me to view it. Like Wittaj said, “do I really want them having my information?” (More so lol).
Whether it is allowed or whether you are technically able to do it are two separate questions - both of which are are starting to get
conflated in the thread. If the Blue Iris instance is running on your home computer, for example, then to view UI3 from
an external computer such as your government computer you would need a VPN/private network client of some kind installed
on your Blue Iris machine or firewall appliance like ZeroTier or TailScale. But, based on my experience in the Fed Govt,
you are going to have a tough time getting either of those client apps installed on a general purpose office computer or laptop,
never mind a special purpose workstation for image processing or GIS.
Again, I don't know about about a DOD facility, but if allowed, just bring a personal laptop and use your cellphone as a WiFi hotspot.
