I have an older IP cam that I need to replace. I had my house resided and the RJ45 connector is inaccessible. I cut the white wire going to the camera expecting it to be a twisted pair, and I was going to crimp on a new RJ45 and then plug in my new camera.
I cut the white wire to find:
(all solid colors)
Orange
Purple
Yellow
Brown
Blue
Gray
I am guessing there are six because there may be 2 additional wires that fed a female end for power separate of the RJ45? Again, I can't see the existing connector. I am using POE, so I know I only need to grab 4 of those wires. Does anyone have a wiring schematic?
Thanks in advance.
