Does CodeProjectAI require "Object Detection" set to on but DeepStack does not?

Slightly confused as I watch this video on how to set up AI in BlueIris, and he disables Object detection. He is using DeepStack, however, not CodeProjectAI.

Are these tied together? When I uncheck object detection, nothing seems to get detected with CodeProjectAI....?

If you uncheck object detection in either DeepStack or SenseAI you need to specify custom models in the configuration of each camera's AI detection tab.
