Doorbell camera mounting ideas

Hi all,

Wanted to get your opinion and any suggestions you may have. I currently have a Google doorbell...like it, don't love it and plan to change in the near future. I do like to change doorbells as the tech changes, but it causes me to drill new holes in the stucco as mounting holes are different.

Have any of you come up with a solution? I was considering mounting a piece of door casing on the wall with 2 screws and then attaching the doorbell to the casing. Then, as doorbells change, I can replace the door casing using the same 2 mounting holes in the stucco and then attaching the new doorbell to the casing. Just wondering if anyone else has any better ideas.

Buy a real camera instead of a Door bell cam such as This one.
Mount it at five feet next to your door, and use the relay output for an automatic door bell, no need for a button.
