Doorbell or doorway cameras, are people using them?

I'm considering a camera at my front door along with soffit mounted cameras. I don't typically see people mention these though. Is it because there aren't many good options available other than the ones you pay a monthly service for like "Ring"?

I was checking out the DahuaVTO6100C but I can't find any decent videos of it in use. I'm open to suggestions if you have something you absolutely love, let me know!

The companion app is free, as is the user account that lets you access the Ring's features. The cloud storage of all your recorded events is free through April 1, and then $3 per month or $30 per year.
