Hey guys,

I have a Trendnet TV-IP314PI which is relabeled Hikvision DS-2CD2042WD-I. Until yesterday I used the firmware 5.4.0 on it. This worked very well. But yesterday I have seen that there is a new firmware available (5.5.0).
In my opinion the intrusion detection was better solved in 5.4.0 and the image quality was better with the older one.
So I tried to downgrade to it. But it says that it is a wrong firmware version. I tried also other firmwares from 5.4.0 to 5.4.5. Nothing works. I also tried the TFTP tool to flash the firmware.
What can I do to get the older firmware on my IPC?

Is there anyway to modify the firmware and shutoff the "downgrade block"?
That's not something I've looked at for an R6 camera, though I've done just that for R0 cameras to allow downgrade/signature mods/full upgrades.
R6 cameras have more sophisticated protection against modified firmware, so I expect it would be quite difficult to achieve.

Would it be possible to you to look after it.
I don't think that I get help from the Hikvision support or the Trendnet support.
