DS-2CD2135FWD-I Switching To Black & White Sometimes

Hello,

New to HIKVision and Cams in general. I've got (4) DS-2CD2135FWD-I connected to a Synology NAS. I am using Surveillance System software built into the Synology.

I have noticed that at times, the Cams will switch to black and white.

Is there any way I can set them to always stay in color? What is causing this?

Sure, in the web GUI set the device permanently to Day mode, as below :

What is causing this?

Normally that would be due to the light level going below that where day mode would be applied.

The configuration for that is what I showed in the screenshot above.
Day=Colour
Night=Black&White
