Hi guys. I am new to the forums and to Hikvision camera's. I was just chasing a little help if possible.
I have purchased a DS-2CD2142FWD-IS camera recently and am trying to get it to record directly to my Synology NAS. I have read the forum post "Solving some NFS issues on Hikvision cameras", but am still a little stuck. I have tried both NFS and SMB, but on both, the camera starts to record to the NAS, but then it stops and the disk become uninitialized again. With the camera running 5.3.3, is there anyway to telnet in to modify the davinci file? Has anyone had any luck with using SMB in place of NFS?
In the mean time i have set the camera up in Synonolgy Surveillance Station, but have had to set it up as a DS-2CD2132-I, which is limiting me to 1920x1080 as when i try to set it to 2048x1539, the camera will not connect. Hopefully Synology will add support for this camera soon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Yostie
