Hi all,
I've got issue with one of the camera. It dosnt appear in SADP.
Camera model is: DS-2CD2335-I

I tried upgrade it with tftp server, but I think filesize for software is to big becouse on the and it stuck on transmitting or transmitting compleat. It never show me information that update compleated.

How can I try put new software on it?

Doubt it is the firmware.

Put your computer in the same IP address subnet as the camera and access it that way.

If the filesize is larger than 32MB that's bigger than the Hikvision tftp updater can handle, in which case the Scott Lamb tftp updater clone would be needed.

But if I remember correctly - firmware for that camera series is smaller than 32MB, so the lack of completion is more likely to be due to a language mismatch rejection of the firmware.
I'd guess it's a Chinese camera.

Something is wrong. Cant find camera in my network. All others can be found in SADP.
When i am trying flash it i can see somethinglike that. Any help to fix it ? I can help for your help guys.

Of course it possible to correct some pyhon code, but need original contex & some time or try use python2.7 for what script ...
Another way and more fast (in my opinion) is:
  • for autoupdate you can use mix: original tftp 1st without digicap.dav to connect, then close it and start tftpd32 with needed digicap.dav with same net setting
  • for manual use tftp32(64)

I sort it out. I installed Debian on VM and straight away it fixed all issues.
Thank you anyway. Problem was with file, becouse all firmware for this camera has over 35MB
