Hi All,

I'm hoping you can help. I really am struggling with motion detection on this camera. It makes no sense what so ever.

If I use Normal motion detection mode. Everything sets it off continuously. Slight tree movement, shadows.. every tiny little movement. Sensitivity doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever.
So, I thought I would try expert mode, so deleted the draw box in normal mode, switched to expert mode and drew a new box. So, I then try various combinations of sensitivity and percent, but they also don't seem to make a blind bit of different to detection.
So sensitivity seems to be how sensitive it is to movement, and percent appears to be how much of the drawn box the movement object takes up. I've tried setting sensitivity really low, and percent high, I've tried the reverse and having higher sensitivity and lower percentage. I've tried combinations in between. Everything I do results in constant motion detection. The only thing that stops it, is the turning it off.

What the hell am I doing wrong. This camera appears to be next to useless.

The trouble with that is, I can't see when motion is detected when viewing playback. My unit is in my node 0 so I can't have direct access to it. I use the web interface. I need to be able to go over last nights footage and find all motion detection events whilst still having continuous recordings. If I use intrusion detection, it doesn't put markers on the recording line. Only motion detection appears to be able to do that.

OK, that's a big constraint then.
Yes, it's annoying that the selection is there for Line Crossing and Intrusion Detection but it doesn't work.
