So I bought a "new" 2385 8MP on ebay for our new house and it arrived DOA. Same premade cable and Unifi POE switch that worked fine for 2332's and 2335's. Came back home to the "old" house and tried a power supply. The IR comes on for 2-3 seconds then goes off and won't come back on.
At no time do I get any flashy flashy on the switch lights. No POE, no network connectivity ever.
Luckily, the seller was AWESOME and issued me a refund almost instantly. He doesn't want the bad camera back. But is there a likely cause worth trying to fix inside or is this thing a boat anchor?
By the way, this thing IS an anchor. Definitely heavier than the older models...
