Have 4 of these DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL panoramics. Going to list what settings work AT MY HOUSE.

1.Blue Iris 5.something.
2.Big POE switch with plenty of POE budget.
3.Belden 23ga pure copper CAT 6 cable throughout.
3.ONVIF slash in cam triggering only. Love the flashing strobes and "hey get off my grass you dirt bags" alerts. Never buy another cam without flashing lights and audible alerts.
4.All motion triggering disabled in Blue Iris.
5.Cams that have car headlights say shining across the grass at the stop sign. Have Line Crossing triggering enabled for these cams. Basic motion catches too much contrast and false triggers at night. This was a game changer for me on false triggers. In the backyard I use standard motion, no advanced settings. Any cams with headlights I use line crossing only. No other triggering required. No video tampering, not needed.
6.Another game changer, scheduled switching or image parameters switch??? Changes cams from night to day settings. Huge video quality boost for free. Day you don't need any sensor gain nor digital noise reduction. Plenty of light then. Night is totally different. Full gain and 50% noise reduction. Went to a web site that had sun up and down times for the year. Filled out the scheduled switching page in the camera. Pain in the rump as there is no copy paste here. Must do this for all your cams and well worth it.
7.Shutter settings, 1/300 in the day and I think 1/6 at night. Again this is at MY house. Test with these at your house.
8.No WDR, HLC or BLC. I do love WDR though, works great but lowers FPS to 15 for my cams. I run 20 fps with main and sub streams. If you like 15 fps, try these three out. BLC and WDR are fabulous.
9.Main bitrate 16,384mb, sub stream 8192mb, constant type and H.264. No H.265 and no + as it pixelates too fast and gives poor video quality. I frame matches the frame rate. High profile and 50 on the smoothing.
10.Triggered recording across the board. Used to run constant. Really not needed as I set a 30 second trigger buffer time and a max trigger duration of 10 minutes. I catch the event 30 seconds prior to the event and for 10 minutes after if there is still movement.
11.No Intel decoding nor GPU assist. Minimize the BI screen and CPU runs at 5% usage on an older I7 Intel 6700. Run as a service is checked.

If you need more info just ask. Hope this helps someone out. You can try the above on any other Hikvision cams if you like.

May not be fast enough... motion blur?
Like I said, at MY HOUSE. We all have different nighttime light levels. Try it at your house and see??? I can double check that 1/6 value. I know it's slower than 1/30. UPDATE, trying 1/12 now for night shots.

Please post a night video of a car and person moving. No way a 1/6 shutter is not blur city regardless of amount of light for any motion.

I verified my settings. Thought I was on something else. Running 1/30 at home for night shots. I agree 1/6 is slow but really pulls the light in. Good ol' tradeoffs.

Of course 1/6 shutter really pulls the light in - it is freaking wide open. But results in motion blur.

The slower the shutter, the less light that is needed. I can make a $20 camera look like daylight at midnight with a slow enough shutter but motion will be a blur.

1/30 will result in motion blur unless the person is standing still or barely moving.
