DS-7604NI-SE/P
V 2.3.3 Build 30620
Port 8000 (tried port 8080)
IP 192.0.0.64

Ivms4200 - V 2.5.1.7

Cat5 cable tested and ok.

Set this up, (with earlier ver of Ivms), with 3 cameras a few yrs ago and all worked fine. Eventually lost the laptop I was using and just recently replaced. Downloaded and setup the new ver of Ivms.

Ivms 'sees' the NVR but will not connect.

Data lights for the 3 cameras are flashing so I'm assuming data is being processed.
NVR does not run continuously. I only turn on when I go to town once a week for supplies. (I live off grid)

Any ideas?
Thanks

ps. SADP 'sees' NVR as well, but not cameras

Thought of that but I live off grid and I'm about a 120 mile round trip to my storage unit where I have an extra monitor. Also, don't have room for an extra monitor full time. (live in 240 sq ft)
This worked fine until I changed laptops.

If you mean do I have to login to ivms, then yes I can login to ivms.

Device management screen shows the NVR but it also shows 'not connected'

Apparently I misunderstood. I cannot access via 192.0.0.64

What is the IP of the PC. Are both on same IP Segment. IF you send me Teamviewer access to my PM I can have a look.

Maybe I should ask the question in a different way. How should the NVR ip parameters be set and how should the Local Area Connection (Win7), ip parameters be set?
ipv4? ipv6?
Currently tried 192.0.0.64 subnet 255.255.0.0 port 8000 for both. Doesn't work. Win7 returns 'conflict' error.
Never really got a good handle on ip stuff.
Thanks

This is pretty basic stuff.

You should not set the IP of the PC the same as the NVR. Every device in the network needs his own unique IP

You should set your PC IP to automatic, then check whatyou received from the ROUTER

If the router gave you IP: 192.168.2.53
You need to set NVR IP to same range. Which means the beginning three parts need to be the same in your complete network.

So for instance set NVR IP with SDAP TOOLs to : 192.168.2.222
Then you can access the NVR with a normal webbrowser by entering 192.168.2.222

Accessing 192.0.0.64 from a PC with Adress 192.168.2.XXX will never work. The Tools see the other device you can change the IP but not get Video or connection until both range are the same

Thank You!
What a 'cluster f***'!
Don't know if Ivms is connecting, but the web interface is working fine.

On another note, do you know if Blue Iris works with this NVR? Is it even needed?

Thanks again.

If webinterface work do the following. Uninstall iVMS.
Remove the ivms folder from c:/program files
Install latest version from hikvisioneurope.com
