Ds-cd2142 email???

Hi,
I have a 2142 ver. 5.3.6
I cannot seem to get email working...
When i pusg test button in the software, i get a "cannot connect to testserver" error message.
I read similar problems, but not actual solutions for it. (Or have i misread?)

Anyone?

Have you got DNS set to 8.8.8.8 ?

8.8.4.4 indeed. Second dns.

You're using gmail? Have you logged into your account and allowed less secure login?

Hi, i dont have gmail, just an extra mailaccount of my provider. I suppose its not solely gmail capable??

No but we know gmail works so it's better to rule out it being your mail account provider first. It doesn't work for yahoo for example.
