Hi,

I'm struggling to setup my new PC (Running on Win 11) for Blue Iris. I've decided to setup a Dual NIC solution but seem to have some of my settings wrong. Once I connect the NIC1 (which connects to my main router), it only takes about 30 minutes and my entire network goes down. If I disconnect the computer and restart the router, everything comes back like normal which tells me it is my setup.

Here is my topography, would appreciate any and all advice!

-Modem connects directly to my router setup- 192.168.7.XX
-POE switch is local and is only connected to my BI computer: 10.11.12.XX

On my BI computer:
NIC 1: 192.168.7.253 (I setup a reservation through my router to make this Static IP- on the computer it's also set to manually be this IP), Subnet 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.7.1
NIC 2: 10.11.12.2, Subnet 255.255.255.0, Gateway 10.11.12.1

Tried to leave my DNS blank but it auto reverts to Auto/DHCP so hopefully that's ok...

You have the Gateway of NIC2 as your router so maybe the cams are somehow getting out. Change NIC 2 Gateway to blank or 10.11.12.1 if you didn't assign anything to that.

In addition to the the suggestions of others, try reviewing the router logs, it may shed light on the problem

In my dual NIC setup:

The IP address for NIC 1 is set in the router's DHCP table as 192.168.1.200
The IP address for NIC 2 is set in the IP properties as 192.168.0.200

NIC 1 < connected to the home network

NIC2 < connected to the camera network (POE Switch is plugged into it)

@mikeynags It wouldn't let me leave the gateway empty and click "ok", I had to type something in...So I entered in the same IP as the computer and it worked out.

Thanks @Sybertiger, after I confirmed mine looked almost identical to your setup, I went to the router logs like @SpacemanSpiff recommended. Turned out to be a problem with the router, It just happened that my router did an update the previous night and apparently it fried something in the hardware... It just happened to take place the day before I installed my BI

Got a new router and all is well!

I'm ok
Glad you got it working

I have a remote BlueIris on Windows 11 that can be a pain about the second NIC.
I have had updates drop the settings or even drop the NIC device.
If you put it all back in it will all still work.

My gateway is my PC NIC 2 's IP (ie. 10.20.30.41)
If you are running a NTP it will be your PC IP also.
